How to use it
- Drop the images you want to convert, or click to choose them. You can add several at once.
- Pick the target format (JPG, PNG or WEBP) and quality, and the conversion starts right away. Change the format later and everything is converted again automatically.
- Download each image one by one, or use Download all as ZIP to grab them all at once.
Which format should I choose?
- JPG: the safe choice for photos. Accepted everywhere and small in size. Transparent backgrounds become white.
- PNG: best for screenshots with text, logos, and anything that needs a transparent background. No quality loss, but larger files.
- WEBP: smaller than JPG at the same quality, so it's great for blogs and websites.
Converting iPhone photos (HEIC) to JPG
By default, iPhones save photos in HEIC format, which some Windows PCs and websites can't open. Add your HEIC files, choose JPG, and they're converted on the spot. HEIC can take a few extra seconds to process.
FAQ
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. Everything is converted inside the browser you're using, and your photos never travel over the internet. Personal photos are safe to convert here.
Can I convert animated GIFs?
Only the first frame of an animated GIF is converted, as a still image.
What happens to location data (EXIF)?
Converted images contain no EXIF data such as GPS location or device info. You can also use this tool simply to strip location data before sharing a photo.
I chose WEBP but got a PNG.
Some older browsers (especially older versions of Safari) can't save WEBP. In that case the image is saved as PNG. Use a recent version of Chrome or Edge to get WEBP.
